I mean, we never could have imagined the weight of what his dreams were— what I take from it and what I understood and why it brought me to tears when I realized that this moment happened is he knew his life was going to be short, and he knew that for whatever reason I was going to be the only one that defended him publicly— that would go to war with everyone.
