the single greatest contributor to me being sort of just smacked in the gut about Gaza and learning about Gaza. I think most people didn’t know—genuinely, like me—just did not know anything about the history of Gaza; knew nothing about it because it has been such a censored topic in America. And we were all told that it was our job—after all of the Holocaust movies and the Holocaust indoctrination that took place in the school system—to be triggered at the idea that anybody could have a thought against the modern state of Israel, which is only there because six million Jews perished in the Holocaust. We all grew up with that, right?
