Candace Owens:
Neither one of us was very well known at this time. We had just kind of gotten together the November before. And it is just a fact that we were listening to Kanye West music every day. I mean, literally every day—especially the song “Power,” okay? I was telling Charlie, “Explicitly, we have to get to Kanye West. I can tell by his music.” This is what I’m saying to Charlie. “I know these lyrics inside and out. This person does not want to be a part of the system. If we can get to Kanye, I think he’ll join my Blexit movement. I’ve got to wake up Black Americans to this scam that they’re using our race to control our emotions, which now to me seems so minuscule because I see how much bigger the issue is.
